The students of Grade I C demonstrated to the visitors how to weigh objects using a balancing beam. They asked the parents to balance the weight on both sides of the beam within the given time-period.

The children of Grade I B prepared a project on the shapes around us and enlightened the visitors on how to identify various shapes. They also played games with the visitors which involved making different shapes from the given items.

The students of Grade I A portrayed themselves as shopkeepers and involved the visitors in the transaction of money. This helped to understand the addition and subtraction of money which is very pertinent in our day-to-day lives.

The students of Grade V A demonstrated the method to find the volumes of regular and irregular objects.They used the “Water Displacement Method” to measure the volume of irregular objects. For the regular objects, they showed the visitors how to measure the length , breadth and height o f the objects and then find the…

The students of Grade IV B made an abacus to show the place value of decimals. They also showed the visitors how to perform additions of decimal numbers using the beads on the abacus. Parents showed a lot of interest in the project and understood the usage of  abacus – the calculator of ancient times.

The tiny tots of Grade KG B tested the knowledge of the visitors by placing several objects on the table and asking them to recognize their shapes. They put real objects before them like bread slices, idlis, biscuits, chips etc. They were ready with the right answers if any of the answers were wrong.

The students of Grade Prep B presented a race track before the visitors which showed the ordinals of various numbers. Ordinals are the words representing the rank of  numbers. They showed the position of cars using flash cards on which the ordinals of different numbers were written.The visitors appreciated the understanding in the students.

The children of Grade II C quizzed the visitors about various shapes around them. They put  objects of different shapes in a box and asked the visitors  to put their hands inside it and choose an object. Thereafter they had to guess the shape of that object.

The students of Grade I D presented the concept of multiplication and repeated addition with the help of toffees, gems, hands and small boxes. The explained to the visitors that multiplication is repeated  addition and instead of long addition, we can use multiplication.

The students of Class IX A presented the concepts of  Statistics before the visitors. They gave the introduction of how Statistics evovled over time and also explained parents about the use of Pie Chart, Bar Graph, Histogram and the Frequency Curve. The visitors appreciated the efforts of the children.
